This style of scrapbooking is more of a therapy, journalling tool. It entails being prepared to rip pictures up to get the right part of it on the page. You can also do it with junk mail if you don't want to rip your personal photos up. Of course, if they're digital, you can always print out more than one copy anyway.
Pick a few images at random. If you need to focus in on one part of the photo to show off the item you're working with, cut or rip the photo accordingly. Place the images on the page and fiddle around with them so they feel like they're saying something to you. Draw squiggles, lines, captions etc. between them. They might represent the way you feel about the various elements of your life interacting.
Such a page can be quite evocative the second time you take a look back at it. Have fun!
