''Where's the glue?!'' we would excitedly say to our mother. Yes as small children do, we loved gluing things. Yet my brother and i were not making a rocket out of washing bottles, we were making a scrap book from all the places we'd been on holiday once we had returned home. It was a great way of preserving our holiday memories.
Of course people have probably been doing this since paper became affordable, indeed it was a favorite pastime of the Victorian lady. Scrap booking seems to have swept the world in this ''new craze'' everyone is doing it from children to the elderly.
The versatility of scrap booking is the fact it can be about anything or anyone by anyone. It is in fact an expression of you and how you perceive the world around you and the ones or things in it that you love.
For this reason no two scrapbooks are the same and this is where the enjoyment comes in to it and the fun of showing them to others.
In this day of technology lets all enjoy the more traditional of methods of a pastime and keeping memories alive just as vivid if not more so due to the captions and textures than the digital camera.
