My Gran died recently. After cleaning out her home, we found a suitcase crammed full of stunning photos. Photos of people we knew nothing of. We were baffelled. We knew they were all relations but have never found out who they actually were and how they fitted into the puzzle.
Since I started scrapbooking 4 years ago, I have managed to put together 6 beautiful albums. Not just pictures slipped into pockets, but beautifully decorated and documented memories. It makes such a difference to have pictures with corresponding information about details that can so easily be forgotten. When I'm gone one day, not only will my girls have something special from me but they will be able to see how how they became such beautiful grown ups. When their decedents are clearing out their homes and find the albums they will know exactly who everyone was and be able to have a feeling of the atmosphere at that time.
