Scrapbooking with your child is a wonderful way to bond and develop something you both can greatly enjoy. You can share special moments allowing them to pick out the paper to use and what to stickers or other embellishments put with the pictures. You can let them tape and glue things, but you do the cutting and stuff so they don't get hurt.
When you finish you have a product that they can always cherish, not only the book, but the time spent with you. You can share memories of your own as you put together books about their friends and tell them stories about family or when you were younger. Its a great way to open communication with things that are happening in their life. You start with something small and it just grows bigger. It gives them something to look forward too.
You can get them their own book and you work on your book with them and share ideas you have for how a page could look and they share their ideas for yours. I just think it is a wonderful hobby to start with young children. A woman I know does it with her daughter and they really bond over their scrapbooks and the memories they will have for years to come because of them.
You never know what could be started with just a few days spent with just you and your child. THat will be something they will remember all their life.
