Scrapbooking is an excellent hobby with endless possibilities. It is for anyone with a creative flair and time to spare. You DO NOT have to put a lot of money into this hobby. There are many ways to save money and still make each page an unforgettable piece of art. Here are a few quick and easy ideas to collect trinkets for your pages:
1. Save cards - birthday, wedding, anniversary, etc. The cover may have flowers, a cute cartoon, or words that you may cut out and use on your pages! The message inside the card may also be used.
2. Don't throw away your silk or dried flowers. They are wonderful for a romantic touch to a page. Use these for Valentine's, Wedding, Boyfriend/Girlfriend, or Honeymoon pages.
3. Keep your ticket stubs from sporting events, concerts, and movies. You may be surprised where they may fit in!
4. Keep scraps of wrapping paper!. They may be used in birthday, Christmas, and Wedding pages. You may even use these for the backgrounds or as matting for your photos. You may choose light colors for journaling.
5. Get out your button box! Buttons give an old-fashioned flair to your pages. To create an enhanced memory, match them with whom they belong.
6. Keep those silly but oh so adorable paper crafts your children bring home from school. Use them to create unforgettable pages of your child and how quickly they are growing up!
7. Keep your scraps of ribbon and yarn for borders.
8. Don't forget the power of your own words - journaling adds a special touch and gives a permanent reminder of that moment in time.
