I had a friend who visited my scrapbooking club and afterwards wanted to purchase a Cricut, so she asked me where she could find a Cricut sale.
She ended up buying a Cricut Personal Electronic Cutter, but first let me tell you a little more about my club.
I have a successful scrapbook club that meets once a month, on the second Saturday of the month, without fail. We each take turns making snacks and being the hostess. We set aside three hours a month for our scrapbook club and not only do we have wonderful scrapbooks, but lasting friendships as well.
What is a scrapbook club, you say?
A scrapbook club is a group of women (and men) that get together on a regular schedule. Meeting once a month seems to be the easiest for most people to gather together. Each month the group will meet at either one central location, like a church rec hall, or split the chores and have a hostess of the month. Usually the hostess will have all the "hardware" you need to scrap the day away. Hardware is things like scissors, punches, and if you're really lucky a cricut machine! Each participant is required to bring their own paper, glue of preference and embellishments.
The really fun part of scrapbooking with the same group of people is sharing ideas, as well as products! If you get stuck on a layout and want a second opinion, there is always someone willing to give you an idea, thought or opinion. If you forgot that one piece of paper that you really needed, usually one of your scrapbook friends will have a piece that will work and you can trade.
Scrapbooking with friends is a great way to stay in touch. It's also a great outlet for your creative side that gets shoved aside during the mundane day to day grind of living.
Anyway, so my friend wanted to get involved but wanted buy a Cricut Machine at a great price. Though I took her around to some local stores, we eventually got online and we found some excellent buys for Cricuts. eBay has never let me down.
I realized then that I shouldn't have wasted my time driving around town with her, and just got online for the best Cricut Machine deal on eBay.
