Once you have your Cricut cutter, then you need to get your other scrapbook supplies organized.
When I first started scrapbooking, the supplies I purchased found a happy home in a large scrapbook case. As I got more into the hobby my collection of supplies and paper out grew the case.
My biggest dilemma was that I didn't have a whole room to devote to my growing insane hobby. I knew if I wanted to continue to enjoy this hobby I was going to have to organize it in some manner. I looked around and decided to claim one of the corners of the basement as my creative spot. I put up a four foot table, a cart of drawers and a comfortable chair.
My boyfriend helped by installing four shelves about this space. One shelf is home to a box of rubber stamps, my ribbon box and my embossing tools. The shelf below it holds six photo boxes, a small draw system for my tubes of paints. Another draw holds smaller papers used for die cuts.
Then I needed to consider where to store all my Cricut cutter cartridges. Search on the list to the right for some of the best Cricut cartridges that are available.
One the second set of shelves I needed to plan more carefully because these are right over my work table. The top shelf has bins with various supplies. One holds my Cricut cutter system, another has all my eyelets and brads. I have bins with special markers and more holding my specialty punches.
The bottom shelf has more bins with metal and bulky embellishments. Another draw system holds various rub-ons. Besides these is a spot for my latest must have tool, my Cricut cutter. On my work station is tilt bins holding many different adhesives. I have another tilt bin that holds my acrylic paints and some liquid glues.
This whole system has worked very well for me. The hardest part is just keeping the area clean so I can sit down and scrapbook whenever the mood strikes me. If I'm working on a layout and I have to run errands or cook dinner I can leave it on the table with out it getting touched.
No matter how well organized I am, I wouldn't want to do any of it without my Cricut cutter.
